We visited the Skate Park this week and were stunned by the progress Canvas have made on this project despite the rain and the bitter cold. We also love the situation of the park and its views out across the South Downs, it really will be a stunning place to skate. Here’s an update from one of the Canvas team.
“The street area of the skatepark is really taking shape now. You can see the driveway gap and the kicker to flat gap here, with one of many lines to it from the bowl and around the whippy quarter. We’re looking forward to seeing this finished.
The bowl is now ready for the spraying of the transitions in the new year. The waterfalls are in place and the lines are really starting to show. The roll over in the middle will be shaped early in the new year also.We had the local skaters on site today for an official update and all left really pleased with the progress and in seeing the design working in front of them. The bowl and various bits of the street area were of particular excitement – the kerb island, the ledges and general layout, including the sense of space. We look forward to another mid-construction official locals’ visit in the new year.”
